Gardens and Orchard

If you like unique plants, flowers, and shrubs, then this property is for you. The sellers will pass on a landscape map of the different varieties the former owners planted on the property over the decades.

If you like birds, squirrels, frogs, voles, opossums, raccoons, feral cats roaming (but no deer), this property is for you. The motion-sensor lights get triggered quite often.

If you like fruit and berries, you are choosing the right house! For several years, the sellers sold extra from the harvests to locals from a little farm stand. You can look and see all the photos on their “Jeans Bottom Farm” Facebook page.

You are in luck if you love apples–there are nine apple trees on the property, and each variety is unique and flavorful, ripening from August to November.

There are five pear trees that are loved by everyone, including the murder of crows that come and go during the summer and fall.

We have three persimmon varieties, two quince trees (as well as ornamental flowering quince), two fig varieties, and several cherry trees that the birds love to steal (Bing, Red Pie, and Black cherries).

Various strawberries and raspberries are planted around the garden. Wild blackberries have been trained along the fence to make a wonderful harvest in August. The one mulberry tree out front is enough to fill the freezer with tasty berries.
